ok-so it's been about one week since i did this little experiment, and here are the results:there are no signs of myc. growth in the 3 jars containing quinoa seed.the 2 jars with 1/3 br,1/3 verm,1/3 hornet nest is kickin ass!!the jar containing 1/4 br,1/4,verm,1/4 h.n.,1/4 finch food has a little bit of myc.growth on one side.and thats it.i'm gonna birth the successful cake in it's own outdoor mini-greenhouse(tuppaware),to keep contam. out of my other greenhouses.phuk-i dont know what else to say.i tried....atleast i didnt use my own shit as a substrate!

What organic materials do hornets select to build their nests?

GoBaRR-they use things like dirt or mud, peices(shavings they've knawed off)of stick, bark, old organics like leaves, and such, which is held together by their saliva and fluids from other insect...victims,which acts like a seal and a glue.....basicly....fuk i still think it was a good idea...may for a wood loving strain(i used amazonian)

Has anyone ever tried leaves before? Seems like you could shred some leaves up and use them as substrate. And of course leaves are readily accessable to anyone unless you live in the desert.------------------ Trying to rationalize with an irrational person, is in itself irrational!
