Damn dude. I was just sitting here dreaming of the future when I read that post. It brought me down a little. The truth is though, that you must have dreams. They should be realistic of course, but you must have dreams. Without them, what's the point of living?

Money is a powerful force, it drives almost all of many of our existences, not because we are greedy but because it is needed to survive.........

Sometimes we must stand on the shoulders of the devil in order to climb our way into the heavens.........

I know exactly how you feel. I too, fell from such heights that I felt I could never get up again. When I look around at this world, it's hard to imagine that we are even worthy of such heights, such visions.

Lennon might be a little too optimistic, you can bet that the world won't be as one, at least not in our lifetimes. But what's important is that humanity is making progress, slowly and sometimes painfully we are learning the lessons of our dark history. And who's to say what the future holds? It may be brighter than any of can imagine.

To be a son of Adam is enough to lift the head of the lowliest beggar and lower of head of the lofitest king.

When your head is in the clouds and your feet are on the ground it causes you to stretch.

Growth is good.

Cheers,

Well you have to options feel depress and sorry for your self or do something about it, all I can say that if your dream comes from your inner being no matter how impossible it may seem now to accomplish it can be done, I fallowed mine and the difficulty was all in my head, not in the real world.

man, people go on spiritual ups and downs...but just because you get on a down, don't hang your head. you can never breeze downhill if you don't fight your way uphill first.
hey man, i hate money, but i am only a slave to it until my leases are up. and then i plan to denounce it all. i deffinatly recommend some monastic time to anyone who fancies themselves a dreamer or a philosopher. even if you don't stay in the monestary or believe the same as it's inhabitants...it is a beautiful way to clear your mind...the whole enviroment is based around thought and dreams and spiritual growth.
you can live free from worries, you just have to get rid of the things in your life that make you worry. me, i know i have no money for food on a regular basis...and then at the last second, someone i hardly know hands me ten bucks and says, "you looks hungry."
i live by faith. and i live worry free. my only worry, is for people in pain. like you seem to be. i will pray for you with everything in me brother. peace be with you. pax christi.

Hi, thank you guys for those histories

thanks LOBO for the link too.( i've missed it)
Well ,i came across this text in portuguese, after translation it goes:

' Once upon a time
an old indian (native indigene) described his inner conflicts :

" Inside myself there are two dogs, one of then is cruel and bad the other one is passive and very good. They are always fighting. "

Then he was asked to say which one would win the fighting.

The wise man stopped, reflected/diverted and answered:
"the one I feed ."

money is primitive.

I used to say gimmie at what age?

money is also a tool.

When you are punished, what is taken first?
MONEY!

I wonder what would happen if all the economies crashed...HARD....
Would people begin to take? Or would people begin to help eachother?

Not until the day comes when we love eachother more than the materials we make for eachother.

I just visited a friend (whom ive just met recently) who happens to be in a situation where she doesnt need her money, and just leaves 20$'s lying around everywhere in her room
she even just throws me money sometimes and says "take it". usually ill refuse but its quite difficult..
i can just feel that darkness looming over me. Greed. and i hate it.
like when i was in her room alone with this money, my hands just want to reach out and grab some (not like she'd ever notice)

i feel like bilbo baggins or something...

greed
ill never give into him
but im quite aware that he has a permanent home in my head.. gotta keep that bastard in check
