I have colonized wheat straw in a rubbermaid container. It has colonized great, but I don?t know what to do about the condensation. The pic shows one of the puddles I have on the top. Will it pin like that? Is there going to be enouph moisture left in the straw? I?m not using any other source of humitdity other than the straw... I?ve thought about casing it with 50/50+ but i?m not sure because this is the first time I have tried to grow like this. In short, what do I do about the extra moisture on top?
Not much you can do / given the circumstance. If your real conserned? Let it air out / a short while. Some of the excess moisture will evaporate. Looks like it is time to case & 50/50 + is fine. The Raccoons experiance is that with a little coir mixed in a 50/50 + mix, it goes better.
