The larger shroom is about 3 inches tall. The gills are a pinkish/ bronze color. the stem and the cap are an off-white color as well. i dont think theyre active but im new to this so my opinion doesnt mean much. thanks (found in southwest PA)

You're right about them not being active. They are from the genus Agaricus, which is the same genus as the button mushrooms you buy at the store. Unfortunately, Agaricus are very difficult to identify accurately to species. Many of them are poisonous, so don't eat them unless and until you can get an accurate identification.

For a shot at identification we need to know the following:

What color does the mushroom bruise? Cut the mushroom in half vertically and abuse it with the knife blade on the inside near the base of the stem and in the cap. Watch for color changes over a few minutes.

What does the mushroom smell like? The typical range of smells is mushroomy (like the store mushrooms), almondy, phenolic (like library paste or metallic), or mild (no significant odor).

What does the ring look like? Where is it on the stem?

Happy mushrooming!

On the positive side, the poisonous Agaricus are among the "milder" poisonous mushrooms. The victim will "only" suffer through a night of vomiting and diarrhea. The only fatalities associated with them are people who were already in a severly weakened state. And almost always avoid medical attention. Whatever floats yer boat.

Of course, if they're edible, Agaricus includes some of the best edible mushrooms around. The standard store button mushrooms are about the lamest excuse for an edible Agaricus there is. They are, in my estimation, worth the effort to hunt and study so you can eat them.

They are a good example of mushrooms which allow you to test your confidence with the "hot butter test". After a foray with Dr. Kerrigan it took me about 5 years before I was able to get up enough confidence to eat them again. He showed me, more than any other professional mycologist I can think of, how much I didn't know about identification.

Happy mushrooming!
