So what will happen if I eat these?

By the way, I'm totally new to shrooms, So tell me:
What does active and inactive mean? What's a sub?
Thanks for your help.

Active means it will make u trip
Inactive, well u can figure that out.
Subbs are a species of shrooms, and prolly what ur lookin for seeing as u are in Aussie
And those seem to be a Coprinus but dont take my word for it.
dont eat until u get a proper id though.....

Your third picture looks like it might be Galerina autumnalis a small deadly mushroom.

yes those a species of inky cap not good for much. You should be looking for subs in wood-chips. You should ask around in the Australian thread in this forum located near the top. Lots of people there from your neck of the woods too answer your questions for ya, they will be able too give you better information about subs and habitat.

I'd guess that the two on the left are coprinus genera, the ones on the right are really old. If you're in Melb, you're looking for Psilocybe subaeruginosa, which you're mostly going to find in wet woodchip garden beds (subbs are only in the north - e.g., QLD). Check out the Melbourne hunter forum -all 80 pages! Lots of pics and desciptions.
