LC ready to use, now what?

After numerous attempts to concoct a working LC, I finally did it with great success with Lipa Yai (sp). So this being my first actual attempt to use a LC I need some pointers from the experienced individuals on here.
I put the LC in the fridge to keep here cool, 3 days later I am getting to my WBS PC'ing. I just have a few quick questions... I am using wide mouth quart jars, they're about 3/4 of the way full with WBS.
(1) How much LC is needed for each jar? I've read 1-2 cc's. Need confirmation.
(2) Can I replace in fridge after using what I needed from the LC Snapple bottle? I am certain I won't use all of it for the 30 jars of WBS I have.
(3) Should the LC be allowed to come to room temperature before I use in my jars of WBS?
Thanks in advance! Many more successful grows to all

Good, I'm glad I got an answer, cuz I am going to inject tomorrow morning, and set up in a closet. The closet has been monitored, and is near 75 degrees consistently. This should suffice, correct?

It's fine. And be very sure that the needle and injection port are sterile cause I made an awesome GT LC with a gorgeous test jar, put the LC into the fridge and pulled it out a few days later and sucked up some more mycellium then shot up like 9 more jars and had some beautiful penicillin mold cultures .

Thanks for the advice. Would hate to waste the rest of what is a good culture.
I think it'll go good. we'll see in a few days.
About how long does it take to show signs of growth when using a LC?

Got mine in around 8 days. Some people have said as short as 2. But I'd say a good average is a week or less.

I know that when I use multispore syringes, I get signs of growth in about 3-4 days.
I stick with the WBS coffee soak tek, and have no problems with this way. So we'll see what happens after a few days.
Thanks

I guess I have one more question to add...
After injecting LC, do I shake the crap out of the jar like with multispore?

With LC yes you could to help spread the myc.
But with multispore you should NOT shake until the jar is about 20% at least because spores need to germinate and meet up with other spores in order for them to achieve their reproductive state.
If you spread the spores out growth could be delayed since they will first have to find a 'mate' before they start to take over the substrate vigorously.

Here is an initial picture after injecting jars with 2 cc's each of Lipa Yai LC. I only stacked the jars to take this photo shot. The jars are inside a clean closet, about 75 degrees consistently.
I'll keep updating as this project materializes.
Thanks

WOW, 2 days after innoculating with Lipa Yai LC. I already see growth.
Is this normal? Will try to take pictures later.

Yes it is, because you are innoculating with living mycelium, not spores which need to germinate.

Yeah man, I am amazed at this... I have used MS before this, and it took like anywhere between 6-8 days to show.... this is just 2 days!!! I am impressed and hooked....Just whipped up a R44 LC and it's showing good signs.

here are some updated pictures.... this is 2 days growth using Lipa Yai LC. My first time using any type of LC to start off my jars of WBS. I only stacked the jars to take this photo shot. The jars are inside a clean closet, about 75 degrees consistently.

I was having problems with file size, so these are the only two I could get to post.

I think the spread out of the growth is amazing, I'm proud of my handy work! LOL I did a few jars with some B+ multispore the same day, and I have just a few little white spots, but nothing like the LC.

Nice!! Wow. Just curious what LC recipe you used and how long you PC'd? I have been experimenting with LC's but have yet to have a successful one. What worked for you?

I use a snapple bottle, siliconed hole in lid, broken glass in bottle, I make sure to sterilize EVERYTHING before mixing 2 cups distilled water with 1/2 gram of ULTRA LIGHT DRIED MALT EXTRACT and adding broken glass to the bottle, putting the lid on loosely, wrap top with double foil, tie with twine as to not allow lid to fall off, and extra moisture infiltrate too much, then PC for 20 minutes at 15 PSI, let cool naturally, opening PC quickly and screwing lid down as fast as possible without allowing air to get in, or me to get burnt. Then allow to come to room temperature OVERNIGHT!!!!!! I do not rush this part, let it cool on it's own.
Then I take the spore solution I intend to use, inject 1-2 cc's of spore solution, shake it up, and let it sit for a few days in "incubation type" atmosphere. about 80 degrees, and dark for me, then after 3 days, I check to see if I have fluff, and if I do, I begin to swirl the jars once a day, usually in the morning when I first wake and wash my ass.
Hope this helps you out man.

Just whipped up some WBS soaked in coffee, and pc'd and just knocked them bad boys up with some killer R-44 I had layin around... bout to find out how this LC works.... I know the spore syringes I used to knock up some WBS and this LC colonized SUPER fast, so we'll see what happens with this round.
wish me luck.

Okay, so I am satisfied with calling these Lipa Yai's 100% colonized, I just pulled my straw out of my pasteurization bath, and it's cooling/draining as we speak.

I'll be using all 10 quarts inside my 45 gallon tote w/ cool mist running. should set off really nice... post more pictures later for you guys.

alright check this shit out, got my Lipa Yai in the straw. finally took some pictures... and knowing all the hubbub about leaving the lid shut blah blah blah, I just had to show y'all a pic of what I have to date...
here's my first attempt of LC use still in action....
I did decide to go with a monotub set up because of ease of maintenance and I found a simply tek. "Thanks Akira" for the info I found.

This colonization is about 4 days and running...
Probably another 3-4 and I'll take my cover off and fruit this without casing.
And just for shits and giggles, here is the R44 LC I will be using next.... nice huh?

I'll wait 2-3 more days to be sure, then take some pictures for you guys.

I'm sorry, I've been busy with work, I have been keeping up on my grow though... Unfortunately I have no photos to post, my first flush yielded 370 grams dry weight. I had some pretty nice fruits, but it wasn't what I expected from this Thai strain. I thought I would get way more larger fruits than what I did. many fruits were 3 - 4 inches tall, averaging .20 - .40 a gram dried. The larger ones were near 6 - 7 inches and dried closer to 1.5 - 2 grams each!!!
Drying was done with 3 sandwich style furnace filters and 2 box fans. takes about 13-15 hours to dry nicely. When drying with box fan, try to space shrooms evenly around so airflow will increase. Larger fruits take more time but dry nicely.
Potency is very nice, after a few people "tested" them for me, we agreed that 3.5 grams would set you up really nicely. starts slow at first, but then the body buzz increases drastically, with floating visuals and waves. Trails were nice as well. peaking lasted about 2 hours. Total high was around 6-7 hours. I remember the sky was crystal clear with stars. Where I live we have no light pollution so it's amazingly beautiful with the full scene of stars. My second flush seems to be coming along slowly... I did the best I could to dunk the whole thing, but with it being that large it's kind of difficult, but I can definitely say there are mushrooms there. I will probably open her up in a day or two.
