what ratio did you use, water/ seed? you most likely have it to wet. for birdseed use half as much water as seed. Rye is dirrent, rye you use a lil more water.

Use gypsum, 1 gram per qt or 2 gram per 1/2 gal. plus will help with mushroom metabolism.
