An even easier casing is straight verm or a verm/perlite mix. Put the verm in a pot of water and boil it. (Not necessary according to some but what's it going to hurt?) When it is cool, put on gloves and grab a handful and squeeze it as hard as you can to get rid of excess moisture. Crumble this over your cake and you are set. The purpose of casing is to be a non nutrient source of moisture for your crumbled cakes.
