I didnt use cakes at all... that would be a waste of time... I used WBS cause at the time Its what I had... plus it served as an experiment and for the record Rye Grass Seed does not colonize for shit, its hard to shake and it just outright sucks... I have 2 jars made form the same day as these that you can barely see any colonization in... WBS is the better choice for this species IMO... you cant bitch about 3 oz of sclerotia from 2 1qt jars.
I did make a few Pf cakes with ATL#7 they produced a minor ammount of sclerotia, but they were used to test my LC
 BRF/Verm and water

So... I just ate one of these... not to trip at all, just to know the Flavor. They taste Just like Cucumbers!!! and have a texture like half dried Cucumber...
Hmm I was expecting a *nutty* flavor like described by others... It may just be me... It may be the Substrate choice, but they Definitely Taste like Cucumbers!

Interesting, on both those replies. Keen to see what they actually look like. Sounds like they taste a lot better than mushrooms then.
