Used my electronic ph tester came out at exactly 7.1 then hydrate till just less than field weight put in quart jars and can them like you would vegetables. I have some casing soil that im using now 6 months later and flushing beautifully. Snap son!!! lol
I never thought of canning it for future use! Amazing!

i personally would stick with fanning or going the polyfil route.
what does it matter if hes pumping unfiltered air into his monotub? its not as if its suppose to be sterile. I dont know if I would go with this method though.
so your saying its a wise idea to pump unfiltered air into your "system"? yeah, ok.... good plan. pump all that dust and whatever else may be out there floating in the air into your grow space and i bet you will have a large percent of contams.
your best bet would be to get rid of your air pump and air stones and just drill some holes a little bit above the substrate level and fill them with polyfil.

ive gotten my first fruits in a monotub with just the caseing inside, no holes for ventilation, no perlite for humidity, and all u do is hand open it and fan it a few times then mist the inside without misting any fruits.

Bubble sticks under the perlite work well, but I wouldn't expect the box to be maintenance free unless your pump moves a lot of air.
I originally had a couple of bubble sticks under wet perlite, covered with drained perlite. I think this is overkill. It eventually started to make a "flop, flop, flop, flop..." noise as the air passed through the perlite slurry. I've since drained all of the water out of the perlite. Now I just hear the fizz of air passing through the wet stones. This does raise the humidity, and it adds some fresh air. I still wouldn't totally neglect spraying and fanning. It should help them get through your work shift, though. Even though no tub is air tight, I'd still put some polyfill holes in.

Yes sir! I totally agree. I HATE TROPIC AIR HUMIDIFIERS!
Piece of crap my first fruiting chamber was based on one of those damn things. Waste of time and money.

ive found the best to automate the FAE in a monotub is the Bubbleh tek (under humidification Technique), but omitting the air stone in the water, and just leaving the inflow air to enter the top of the lid just above the water, and out flow at the top, to lessen the RH (as opposed to the air stone submerged) and pump the humid air in to the tub, and made a series of small outflow holes along the bottom covered in synthetic filter discs.
i ran one between 2 tubs with a small air pump for slow air exchange
