pasteurizing store soil

i have some good dry horse dung that i will be using very soon. however it is not enough for all my jars. i plan to mix in a little store bought soil. my question is should i pasteurize the store bought soil or can i use it straight from the bag. and if i do pasteurize it should i do it mixed in with the horse dung or do it separate.

why are you using jars for horse poo? just put it in a case and spawn it.

i have rye spawning in jars. i DONT have the dung inside the jars.

just mix the soil and dung together then pasteurise.
I assume by "soil" you mean potting compost or suchlike, not actual topsoil?

i would just spawn all the dung and let colonize then case with potting soil...i would just straight case all the left over jars.. this should produce a good yeild... just wet the soil and microwave for 15 min..let cool down squeeze excess h2o out.. its crazy how far one jar can go when spawning dung and the fruits are mucho better...
