So finds at a local park with a huge wood pile.
http://s276.photobucket.com/albums/kk6/fvccant/
Edit.. Ok, I finally got the time to finish up a few..most of the spore prints I got were fail .
Specimen #1

Habitat: Growing on the ground, surrounded heavily by wood chips, in near proximity to , but not in the grass.
Gills: A rusty brown color not too tightly spaced. the gills also reach the stem.
Stem: Much longer than cap diameter. Much lighter than the cap, almost white.. but with some yellow/browning.
Cap: Caps are cone shaped, and a light brownish yellow with some gradation. About 1"-1.25" in diameter.
Spore print color: None observed. .. Mushroom rotted very quickly after being picked and no print was recovered.
Bruising: None observed. Although the specimen browned emmencly and became very sticky and slimy due to rot...this and the lack of a spore print could be because of transport damage.
The oder is also currently very strong and somewhat soap like.
Location: Nashville TN, USA
Specimen #2

Habitat: Growing on the ground, surrounded heavily by wood chips, in near proximity to , but not in the grass.
Gills: medium-dark muted grey brown with maybe a tiny hint of purple. Reaches the stem. Gills are very tightly set.
Stem: Much longer than cap dimeter.
Cap: Small, only but 2/3"-1/2" in diameter. A little bit of darkening at the bottom edge of the cap.
Spore print color: None observed, but I went to this pile two nights earlier...and picked some similar brown mushrooms...the spore print was jet black
(I think it was this one pictured here http://s276.photobucket.com/albums/kk6/fvccant/?action=view¤t=DSCN2113.jpg but I cant be sure because my camera ran out of batteries that night)
Bruising: none observed.
Location: Nashville TN, USA
Specimen # 3

Habitat: Growing on the ground, surrounded heavily by wood chips, inside tall grass.
Gills: Beautiful white gills, loosely set but think and deep. The gills reach the stem.
Stem: A mix of creme and brown. Has a ring. Stem bulbs slightly at the bottom and has a slight purple hue.
Cap: About 2 1/2" in diameter. Gradation from a white at the outer edge to brown at top. The mushroom is soft, except for a hard brown top.
Spore print color:
Bruising: Orange colors observed where mushroom had been damaged.
Oder is very light and mushroomy
Location: Nashville TN, USA
Specimen # 4

Habitat: Growing on the ground, surrounded heavily by wood chips. Near some patches of grass.
Gills: Beautiful white gills, don't quite reach the stem.
Stem: Water Droplets collecting at the bottom of the stem. Stem has a white ring.
Cap: About 1 1/2"-2" in diameter. A broad cone shape.
Spore print color: None observed.

I see what look like Conocybe lactea, Pluteus cervinus and possibly a Lepiota.
We need a lot more information to give you a proper ID.
There are links here at the Shroomery to help you help us ID them. Check 'em out.

whoops, I didn't really mean to switch that to actives.
The reason I'm going out to these places and surfing this site is so I can learn how to ID properly. I'm not about to lose interest at all.
Also, more info will come... I just have yet to organize it. I thought you all would enjoy the pictures while I do though.

if your serious, and you really want to learn, i'd recommend you give a proper ID request for each mushroom there, see top of forum, for post that instructs on how to properly ID it.
not only will the smart, mycology passionate people give you an educated guess on it, but it will also teach you. i know it seems annoying but those things are necessary, and will teach you to identify immediately, if you can process them all in your mind, out in field.

you know i always have a fun time, reading a new poster, who has ID request, and trying to see from what they type and pictures, whether good or bad , if the new poster is over 18.
im a huge advocate that mind altering substances shouldnt be used when you have a kid who is 14 and peer pressured into it. but then again i also feel anti depressants are a controlling tool of society, and serj tankian thought that and i stole it, and i ran with it
anyway, point is, i can say with certainty that you are 18 or over. please confirm. i need to be wrong, i even studies the tidbit of your hand and decided it was a hand that has gone through puberty

Most people say I look rather young for my age, but I am 23.
One reason why I am pursuing this knowledge is because I feel I have been lacking in my lafe lately. I work as a graphic designer, so I'm usually stuck at home all day buried in my school work. I just don't have that chance to get out and do things.
But, because of some recent trauma in my life, I said "fuck it". I need to get out and be involved with other things besides art that I am passionate about...even if I have to bring some art into it(like my photography).
Observing nature is just one of my many passions.. I used to browse the forums here quite often because of it's great reputation....so now I'm here
