hey, i had the same thing happen with pan cyans, they grew spindly and thin. i think it was just the artificial environment i created was not satisfactory. try using more light.

Shrooms grow towards the light, I dont know if this is what caused yours to twist and shout but if the light was of to the side then that could be the reason for the twisting.....again only a thought.....
