Hi fellow Mycolofreaks!
This is my first set of colonizing jars. Im using Magashs Grain TEK. I have 4 Quart jars. Theyve been incubating for 18 days.
Jar #1 has been the fastest and has slowed down a bit in the past few days.
Jar 2 has been slower, but really caught up this week. Theres a spot of wet grain on the bottom thats been getting a little smaller this week. Overall progress has slowed in the past couple days.
Jar 3 was my second slowest but also caught up quickly this week. Theres also a spot of wet grain on the bottom that was getting a little smaller this week. Overall progress is beginning to slow.
Jar 4 was my second fastest. Its pretty! Its progress has slowed this week also.
So, should I prepare for casing this weekend or should I let them go longer (and if so, how much longer)? Im in no particular hurry, and thats why Im asking what you seasoned veterans think. I just want to make sure Im not casing them too early making them vulnerable to contamination.

They APPEAR to all be colonized, but pics are deceiving sometimes.
kinda like when you see all those bad ass bitches on the internet, and when its time to meet them and take them back to your place for some drinking and fucking you realize that the girl who portrayed herself as a petite beautiful 20 something is really 18 and fucking obese...

I think you'd be fine doing a casing this weekend. I had the same issue on my first grow, and mine had been going for 4-6 weeks. Long time, I know, but it was winter, and a little cooler than what the shrooms prefer for colonization. I guess I'm just a patient person, but I'd wait.
You can do it now though, and probably have no ill affects.

Thanks for the go-ahead.
You can really feel the heat in the jars when you touch them...obviously hotter than the incubator. I was debating if this may have been the sign that these babies need to get into their "sandwiches". I'd hate for these to overheat.
