how I got store bought manure to work - and well

I would be one of the unfortunate sods that doesn't have 3in1 available in my area. I went to the local Ace hardware and got their organic composted manure with organic matter .5-.5-.5. I tried 6 different teks and was always disappointed. I tried massive amounts of spawn, different hay ratios and they would be painfully slow to colonize, if at all.
My latest attempt ROCKED. I have always tried to only change one thing at a time but this time I changed 2 things and I don't know which one was the key At this point I don't care.
The compost that I have has these large very dense clumps that wouldn't colonize so I passed the compost thru a window screen. Kind of like sifting flour only more work. The large clumps where rubbed against the screen to break them up. This left me with a manure with the consistancy of dry sand.
I then put a cup of this and half a BRF cake of B+ into a food processor.and pulsed 5 or 6 times. The only evidense of the cake was vermiculite sparkles. This unpasteurized mixture was added to enough pasteurized timothy hay to densely fill a disposable 8x4 loaf pan 2 inches deep.
90% colonized in 3 days. At 5 days, the only thing not colonized is the occasional long hay stalk poking out the surface.
I think the combination of smaller manure particles and the even distribution of the food processor is the key.
I am going to see how dense and white this will get before I case it. Maybe in another 5 or 6 days. Thanks for listening to my $0.02

here is a 3 inch casing without any hay and 3/4 inch of coir.
looks good, no? I would like to get the water content up a bit on the substrate. I was worried that it might turn to mud. I initiated pinning regardless.
