I bought a culture from FMRC many years ago. Grew stones on barley rather well. Small dime size nuggets, nutty taste, mild yet nice effects. The best mushroom I grew was Lepiota memorii, Purple felt capped shroom, small sclerotia, no pilocybin/psilocin. Some other active. Turns the color of the rainbow, mycelia turns green, orange, yellow, etc. Tough variety. Armandii is nice, but unless your into exotics, stick with mexicana; fast growing, easy, potent, large producer of stones, not as good as tampa, but it grows faster and is almost as potent. I highly recommend it! FMRC used to be great, Steve is a friend of mine, but his spores are not fertile IMHO in my experiences. If you do order from him, ask him if they are fertile, Steve now sells prints for microscopic purposes only. Caveat emptor.
What little I know....

Bio has cultures for $100.00, or try workman, perhaps he could help, and that's all I can think of. I want to take a trip to Mexico and obtain some, clones instead of taking a culture from the stone; rehydrating is a hassle. www.skyauction.com has next day flights from $1.00-300.00 for 7 days with hotel sometimes. Check it out. Hmmmmm.... where could I go....
Thanks for the info. I was looking at $1200 to fly down in July. I am just going to be looking for spore prints unless it is absolutely necessary to take a culture. ie no shrooms. The problem that I would have is that I am one of those guys that seems to fit the profile for customs to search in Airports.LOL. Seriously, evrytime I have gone through customs at an airport I wind up in the back room.
