PC the same regardless of size. Wide stubby jars work better if you have them. Pint jars will work, may take longer to colonise though.

Most recommend against 1 pint jars because they take so long to colonize, thus, increasing the risk of contamination. The short 1/2 pint jars kick ass dude. If you can't find them locally, they have them on the net. Good luck.

Also 1 pint jars are more prone to stall because BRF doesnt hold a lot of water compared to properly prepared grains.

On my first batch I used 400ml jars,
on a second batch 250ml and 400ml jars.
I used multispore inoculation and there was
almost no difference in colonization times.

With cloned strain you can see some difference,
but we are talking about 1 week or less.

So IMO you should not worry about the colonization time.

There should be some difference in yields, but
I can't tell you how much. It's still about a week
before I get those to FC side by side for comparison.

This should help answer your questions. Read the text and watch the videos. Use 1/2 pint jars for best results. http://www.mushroomvideos.com/21149_7737.asp
