why not. personally i was going for cheap and chearful. can you breath through a syth filter disc? would you want the expense of setting up comp fans for something as simple as a mono?
>I don't see how the polyfil holes can provide as much FAE as fanning...
neither could i, so did fan and mist my first attempts at mono buckets. i made another two to the same specs which i am determined to leave as per "neglect tek." so far the one that has pinned has not done as well as the ones i 'fiddled' with. maybe longer slits are in order. like i say, trial and error.

I don't see how the polyfil holes can provide as much FAE as fanning of some sort, whether it be manual or automated with fans
im pretty sure the way you want it to work, is get the co2 down to the pins/fruits and have the fresh air coming in the top making the more dense co2 stay down around the casing layer and pins/fruits...(I THINK)
not the other way, drawing all fresh air in at your casing layer...and blowin it out the top. i think we wouldve seen this b4 if it were beneficial.
i would guess it would dry out your fruits and casing, and leave little to no humidity
