That could work but i'd test it on a shitty sega game first, lol. Alcohol is often used to clean electronics cause it evaporates so quickly, hence less chance of a shortout whenever it does get powered on. Its also not abrasive afaik so it wont grey out the plastic or cause any other damage. make sure you dont get the paper label wet or it will bubble and come off.
What method where you plannin on usin? Alcohol on a qtip would probably be best. Are they extrememly dusty? I assume you dont actually use them, just keep them collected and in good condition?

Well i would suggest just keeping and cleaning your snes games and to use an emulator and roms to play them, just buy some cheap snes style controller for your comp and you have it all on your computer without tryin to make games work.

the alcohol will work fine to clean it, just make sure it is 100% dry before putting it back into the system and turning it on.
Also, if you are somewhat handy, you can take the snes apart, and bend the pins that make contact with the pcb on the cartridge inside the system inwards, so there is more pressure on the contacts, and it will work well, they get loose after having cartridges taken in and out thousands of times.

Works great.
