hamster bedding?
    #844067 - 08/26/02 12:10 PM (15 years, 8 months ago)

We were at the local petstore for some coco coir.
While passing by the small pets section, an idea came to mind.
But just to confirm our idea. We were wondering if P. cubensis grew on wood chips. We've done a search but it didn't seem like there were any info on P. cubensis growing on wood chips. Is this like a fact that they don't or just no one does it? 'Cause don't they grow on coco bark?

BTW they also had hay. Could that replace straw?

People have had success colonizing wood chips with certain cubensis strains. Personally, I feel grain is superior. If you want to try this, avoid cedar bedding.
