 Help Quick!! I think I neglected my Cakes!!

I really do not need the help but I just wanted to show the progress of the cakes that were soaked for 4+ days. I havent done anything to them except put them in this little tub and I removed the lid. The are in bad shape although this has nothing to do with their extended soak.
They are hitting the trash tomorrow.

someone said that if you submerged mycelium for more than 24 it will die. I did it to prove a point.

Better question would be why would think that the extended soak would cause this? It was 4+ days, maybe 7. I forget
You are probably one of those people that thinks heat drying is bad and that sunflower seeds cause contams??

I said suspended water droplets pooling on the cake will cause the mycelium to overlay, but hey I may have said Killed its been awhile.
Last time I checked, bruising was weakning of the mycelium, suspended water droplets pooling on the cake would cause bruising, weakning of the mycelium leaves a higher probability that contamination may set in.... Prime example, your cakes.
and your farkin crazy if you think heat drying cubes in a conventional oven wont ruin them, the psilocybin oxidizes and ruins their worth. Not only that but they stuck to the pan and burnt on the lowest of the low.
How do I know this for a fact? cause I've done it

Suspended water droplets on cakes also hinders sections useless to pinning, you can not dunk a mushroom in water for 24 hours and expect it to grow, more then certainly it will abort although on the rare occasions mircles do happen but still...
Thanks for showing us that two cakes showed fruiting ability after such a long dunk and how fully colonized cakes can still become contaminated. Latez fella

well from the way it looks your dunk isnt what did it your fruiting chamber wasnt taken care of and it looks like the contam started at one end and worked its way over....oh wow did you have to go away or something whats up?

and now that i look at the pics a little closer that jug for dunking the cap has rust on it git rid of that for sure and you need to not put your cakes directly on that perlite see all those pins showing up at the bottom well thats good as long as the substrate has been sterilized but its always good to put them down on something not strait on the pert.
