Bad work habits?
    #8436446 - 05/23/08 10:44 AM (15 years, 8 months ago)

I call in sick.  If I have called in sick too much recently, then I just don't show up.  I get to work late, and I spend much time shitting and pissing.  I take my time, I do things slow, and I don't pull my weight.  I lie to them about my availability, I will tell them I can't work because of "so and so", when in reality my buddies are going to get drunk.  I once called in a bomb threat to my old job in hopes of getting the day off.  I show up at work, and the bomb squad shows up and everybody had to wait outside for an hour.  I still had to work that day.

I like to take things easy in life, you know?

I'm a pretty useless worker.  I also pretty much always leave jobs on bad terms.  I have never been "fired".  I just always quit by no longer showing up, because I made enough bucks to have a good weekend.

Now I am broke and I had to beg for hours at my job yesterday.  I haven't worked there in like 2 months.  Boss told me "OK, call in on Sunday to find out if you have any hours, but damnit man, you have to show up!  Or atleast call in!"

I felt bad.  Because the boss is my friend and we actually hit the clubs once in a while.

Work = Not for me.

I am going to become an entrepreneur!

Good idea.  People who are 100% responsible for the success or failure of their own business never have to work when they don't feel like it!

/sarcasm

It's 10x harder and more work on your own... I've been there.

It turns out slaving away for a company and getting a steady check while trying to do as little work as possible is better.

yeah, running your own business is very hard work and its even harder on small businesses due to all the regulation/labor issues and shit like that. just stick to slacking off on someone else's dime.

the field i was in didn't allow me to slack off too much, but i always liked the idea of getting paid to take a shit or beat off in the bathroom.

OP here.

By entrepreneur I don't mean trying to run some shitty small business that has a slim chance of ever getting anywhere.

I have some brilliant concepts that I can sell. All I need to do is get a patent and find investors. My product will change the face of science nutrition and weight-loss.

I love these threads:

I can't work, can't even hold down my minimum wage, non-skilled job.

But someday I'll make it big!

But on another note: THANKS. I wouldn't be sitting atop this social pyramid if it weren't for the unskilled, lazy people like yourself holding up the bottom.

Too bad you're making things so difficult for yourself.

Don't be a bum, if you'd develop some integrity you'd be happier.

You don't have what it takes to make something out of it. You don't have a product, you will never get a patent, you will never find people willing to invest in you. Ideas are free, everyone has them. Much rarer is the will take it to fruition.

Read my lips: it will NEVER happen.

Not without a total change in lifestyle and attitude. You don't even respect yourself enough to respect others. I bet the ladies love that.

You know not what you are talking about.

It WILL happen. I WILL find investors.

Why? I know my product, I know what it can do, I have made designs, all the features and benefits are laid out. I have a product, one that even you would want, that is if you want to look/feel better. I know how big it will be. This is not just an "idea" for it is in alignment with what I have been into for years. I am a certified personal trainer (I am certified, that doesn't mean I actually work as one), and I constantly give people advice on working-out and diet aswell.

The thing is that most people aren't serious enough to make changes with their diet because they don't have the will, the knowledge, and the tools to make it happen. This is going to be huge in the fitness/wieght-loss industry. It is a simple product, for any monkey to use, and will give guaranteed results. I know my target market. I know what technology my product requires.

I have engineering friends, others with experience in entrepreneuring. I will make it happen. My sister is a nutrition scientist and I have been researching this shit for years now. I have alot of support.

I don't need a total change in lifestyle and attitude. I just need a decent full-time job to first save up for the patent. I also will have a worthless diploma in Business Management in about 8 months.

I am a shitty worker because I have worked shitty jobs. But I do, however, live life and work hard for myself. Fuck working for some big company that pays you beans to do nothing as you sit around and rot until you find youself jsut as useless as you were since the beginning. I am not a "worker". Making your dreams come true isn't about becoming a "worker". It is about doing things and working towards your passion. This cannot be considered work.

Once I get my product underway - aswell as the other concepts I am working on with some friends - I will prosper.

I would rather work for my passion through the fundamental knowledge in attaining what everybody wants but is too lazy/stupid to want/know how to do it. I will make it happen.

Ooops, I've said too much.

Your a "personal trainer". That takes what? a weekend class.

Being in the "fitness industry" you should have realized one very key thing: There are millions of products that are described EXACTLY the same way yours is.

Oh, wait a minute and let me guess: YOURS is the one, single product, that "really" delivers results? I bet this is different than all the other products "gauranteed to drop a million pounds in 5 days, and to get you RIPPED".

Here, I'll save you some marketing costs and give you your final tagling:

"So what are YOU waiting for? Start taking my product today and you'll get the body you've always deserved".

Give me a break. You're not bringing anything new to the table. Save the bullshit for the idiots you want to con out of their money.

Yes I am. You will see.

I am guaranteeing results, the same way a person can expect results if they diet correctly for 2 months. This is not a magical product. It is a tool. There are no short-cuts, but there are ways to do things smarter. It's about working smart, not hard.

I will not claim that my product is the only way to "really" achieve results. It will be pretty much the only product that one will need in their arsenal for changing their lifestyle and their bodies. Guaranteed results if they use the tool properly.

The fact is, nobody needs any products to get the results they want. All they have to do is know how to eat first and foremost, and perhaps throw some exercise 2 or 3 times a week.

That's where my product comes in. It will simplify the diet aspect of reshaping the body and living healthier. It will save peoples time, money, worries... reduce headaches and increase confidence in their daily activities.

People are discouraged because they think nutrition science is complicated and they just don't want to "worry" about what they are eating. That's what my product is about. It will completely erradicate "worries" and instead, it will instill "trust" in my customers, boosting their confidence in their daily actions in terms of weight-loss.

And how do I know that this product will be a success? Because.. I WANT ONE! That's right. This concept came to me because I was thinking of ways to make my personal goals easier and more practical, in a way I could trust that I was doing it "right".

And this isn't a supplement or something that you "take". There are no shortcuts. However, there are ways in which people can save time, money and headspace. My vision is to empower people so they don't have to waste hundreds of dollars on personal dieticians, and not only that, it gets rid of so much of the darkness surrounding diets and simplifies it so much.. that I would compare my product to say... an automatic car wash.

It's science. I'm not claiming that my product is some next level shit. It's just a practical tool that bodybuilders can use to sharpen up for their shows with precision, fitness models don't have to spend all day thinking about their next meals, and people just looking to lose weight, from FAT to just about 25% BF... this product simplified the process of dieting so much, that it not only empowers peopel to do it themselves, but actually works.

Do I believe that people purchasing my product will be suckers? No. I believe in its uses so much, that I think the benefits of my product will highly outweigh the price, and together, and forever, we can walk along the beach naked!
