Whether there was anything on that gum or not, I have a feeling that UV light is the last thing you should shine on your doses.
it would only be bad if you were holding it over your acid for an extended amount of time. not a couple seconds to see whethere there is any acid on them or not.

^^^ true. some people have those massive 200 watt blacklights. that wouldn't be advisable for any length of time.

UV will kill lucy. A buddy of mine left a strip of gold gels out all night in a cellophane under UV and they became totally inactive. They would still glow but it was all iso-l.
I have never heard of using gum as a medium for liquid and I don't think it would be a very good one either.
cookies are ok but they can go bad
sugar cubes are good but if they get wet or you get caught with them it's curtains
sweet tarts are the best imo
While I have never been sold bunk cid, I have found plain white blotter to be the best and most consistent. Every microdot I've had has been good and all the printed blotter I've had has been decent, but varied in strength. I had cookies once that got stale and moldy which had to be thrown out. I never had a bad sugar cube but liquid, while good, is a toss up for me because you don't know if it's been diluted or exactly how much you have if buying a vial.

As far as shinning a black light on blotter; if its WoW or a light color paper/design then it will glow regardless of LSD presence or not. So I don't think this method is very reliable or accurate..
