halt in growth
    #842607 -

Hey guys, my grandma's having some problems with her mycelium growth in some pf jars. They've slowly colonized the top 75% of the jars but won't colonize the bottoms. She tried tipping them upside down for a while, as she had read from some posts that this will help but still no luck. It's been 1 1/2 weeks since any sign of growth and though she'd hate to birth them and cut off the uncolonized portion, there doesn't seem many other options at hand. Any suggestions to get the mycelium spreading again? It's been approximately 35 days since inoculation for her, she knew the pf tek wasn't necessarily the fastest way but this seems a bit too slow, even for this method. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
thanks, Grandpa_stink

Birth them and cut off the uncolonized portion if you don't think they will colonize. Then fruit as cakes or crumble and case.

avoid this next time by using a layer of dry verm in the bottom.

Did you pack the BRF into the jars and tamp it down?
