Hey ZEPH!! You're not totally wrong, just some.

You're right about it being sterile and pretty ok to clean wounds. However, you've got a little info mixed up. The vietcong put human feces on those bamboo sticks, not urine. Nasty gangrenous infections from bacteria that produced gases as they metabolized the tissue often resulted. So, if you really wanted to you could use someone else's urine to clean your wound. You'd have a better chance of not getting an infection if it came from a guy. The longer urethra of males keeps them from getting as many urinary tract infections as women.

urine contains ammonia....fresh horse poo contains urine.

the reason you dry out horse poo before you use it is to get rid of the ammonia.

I wouldn't want to eat shrooms from someone pissing on a cake!

Urine IS pretty sterile...I've had a Biology professor tell me that you can pee in someone's eyes if they have something bad in them--like a piece of grit or a chemical--and you don't have any water or eye wash solutions...

I, personally, would worry about the ammonia goofing things up, though...I think this because I also piss on my feet in the shower to keep away athlete's foot and it has worked for me...although, maybe it would work--try it!!!

I would stick to just dunking in plain H2O, though...

Now that is just plain nasty!

Yes Urine is pretty sterile.....they used to pee on Soldiers that had chest wounds during Viet Nam....and they still do as far as I know.

But we are talking about mushroom growing!
Mushrooms don't like ammonia....this l know.
And Urine also contains alot of salt too.
