Maybe a glossery, for newbies. Some terms they might not uderstand also to help them give accuarte discriptions when they are posting............peace

I am glad you guys thought my idea was pretty good. I am greatly looking forward to this section of the website. I think it'll be real nice, and the real good information about mushrooms may spread. Hell, we may be able to get MORE people into mycology. That would be great.  It would also be a good rep for the website as well. :-D

Hi,
Well i was taking a look at the "mushroom hunting faq".
-I like this, although it is not complete yet.
Two FAQ's here that you must add;
1)
What psychoactive mushrooms can be found near me (U.S. & Canada)?
-Then put Mapping the Mycelial Network.
2)What psychoactive mushrooms can be found near me (International listing)?
-Then put a link to John W. Allen/Gartz/Guzman's paper for the Neurotropical distribution of psychoactive mushrooms around the world paper.
I like the idea of having a mushroom hunting forum frequently asked questions.
-I will think up a few more to be added soon.

A clickable map would be cool, but that sort of thing can be clunky to navigate.
How about a text version, which first list countries, then you narrow down to states, then various regions or cities; at this point you get a list of entries submitted by Shroomerites for patches they know of, directions to whatever type of mushroom is around.
For example, you'd click UK, then England, then London, where you get a message board style page with post headings like "Islington", which will tell you "There's a patch of Liberty Caps in Barnard Park, behind the fence, etc etc".
Not that you're likely to find any in Islington, but you get the point. It could be moderated for stupid posts, and the ratings mechanism could be used for the accuracy.
Whether this is the sort of information Shroomerites will want to share with the world is another matter.

Wrong, very wrong.
Have you read the rules of the forum?
NEVER ever ask for OR give out specific locations.
We would NEVER incorperate that into the hunting guide. It is called mushroom hunting because you have to get out there and look for them.
Anyone who just asks for patches is just a lazy mooch, plain and simple.
Anyone who gives out patch locations is just stupid, plain and simple.

Under the catagory list; Locations, it reads,
"Where can I find mushrooms that will get me high?"
Should be changed to;
What Shrooms grow wild in my area?
----
Also...i would think to delete everything up until;
"*Note: It is important to know..."
Reason, it does not fully list everything and some species (such as Panaeolus subbalteatus) have been added in to some states, when that mushroom had never been recorded by a professional taxomist or mycologist.. did someone here at the message board put that list together?
Also,
Make a new catagory list called;

Delete the two "test" threads..

And also make a new catagory called;
"Mushroom Photos by Shroomerites"
-This catagory i think should be of various mushroom species that have been photographed by Shroomerites and then put into posts.. if you like this idea i will go through all the posts and pick out the various helpful topics by mjshroomer, Lizard King, AIRDOG, myself and others.. topics that should be saved and linked to this catagory of the hunting FAQ,
-So an example is to make subcatagories from "Mushroom Photos by Shroomerites" and have, say links to a few of Lizard King's "Psilocybe weilii" photos, naming each subcatagory the name of the mushroom, in this case "Psilocybe weilii".
