yea my one cake has a few the other 2 have 1 of 2 and they seemed to stop growing. THe Temp is a constant i had been giving them more light and spraying them on a constant schedule could this have anything to do with it?

what can i do about this cake overlay. Also what can i do to help give the pinning a little push. I have done the cold dunk tek. Also how often do i need to spray the walls?

Well guyz i noticed my first pins today. I decided to try something to possibly help out my cakes and the results were amazing. I drained all of the water from my perlite than set up a heating pad and a light. Misted 2 times then left to go to a baseball game. I came back and checked on them and guess what, PINS!!!! I have one more question why is it bad that water building up on the top lands on them?

do all the pins come at once cuz i only notice a few i think that more grow over time is that correct? Oh im using H2o2 and water is that still bad if it lands on top o my cakes?

I think Moe was fucking around with that whole cake overlay thing. Before you dunk your cakes you can scrape them with a knife like it says to do in the PF double ended casing tek. It is supposed to remove the old growth and reduce the risk of contamination. My cat scraped away the old growth and, so far, it has worked very well for her. Scraping away the old layer of mycelium seemed to stimulate the growth of a new layer, the cakes look very healthy, and many pins are forming in the second flush. My cat's had some small droplets form on the tops of her cakes, but they haven't hurt them yet. You can carefully blot them up with tissues if you want to.
