Titsfan and weiliiiii, removing some of the mycelium does not significantly impact the organism. As long as he is going to use the mycelium to spawn a patch, it's not a bad thing. Chill.

These don't look much like P. ovoideocystidiata, I don't see any sign of an annulus.

Have you done any microscopy on them?
