Using a Vac in FC question

I have a 66qt. FC set up with the shotgun method. Holes are drilled with a 1/18 bit. I want to pull out as much CO2 as possible so I made a port/hole for a vacuum attachment. Instead of faning I was planning on sucking the CO2 out while pulling O2 in from the drilled holes. Should I use poly in the holes? Would this work and is it a good idea?

sorry i can't help with your original question too much i'd imagine you would want to put polyfil in the holes to keep out contams out as long as possible. then again, it might not work. sounds like a good experiment at least.
i'm sure someone will speak up sooon
:pictures Cheech and Chong riding around in a van covered in fruiting mushrooms, tripping, being pulled over by the cops because they are stopped on the highway (thinking they're actually still driving). and of course the cop eats a few of the mushrooms, because Cheech tells him they're portabella or something.:

I was thinking of filling the shop vac hose with polyfill and putting wire screen on both ends. This should create enough suction to pull out the CO2 and not create too much suction that will disturb the perilite and cakes. Any suggestions?

Sounds like it would change the air in the FC in no time at all.
Not sure I'd like to be the one that empties the bag on the vac. If it ends up damp it could be a breeding ground...
