Casing harvest
    #839563 - 08/24/02 01:34 AM (14 years, 5 months ago)

I have a quick question that I've been looking for an answer for...

Normally casing teks say to harvest *ALL* mushrooms at once. I'm wondering what the reason is behind this? Someone in Amsterdam has mushrooms that aren't aborting, but aren't fully grown yet.. but wants to pick the fully grown ones to print them. Why couldn't he simply pick some and wait a few days to pick the rest?

Thanks!

There's nothing stopping you from doing this.

thank you It just seems like all of the methods seem to say to pick them ALL at once (or within a day), and I was wondering if there was a real reason to do that.

Often times people like to harvest a flush at once so they can perform casing maintenance in preparation for the next flush, and to be able to place the casing into an environment that is better suited for pin initiation.
