I hope none of you really believe this crap. Lunar property BS. The ?loophole? is that no laws specifically state that you can?t buy property on the moon, so this company is selling meaningless title deeds and "Lunar Constitutions" to anyone willing to pay for them. They hint that there may be hidden oil reserves on the Moon that will one day may you rich. All BS. There cannot be oil anywhere on the moon. Even if these bullshit papers somehow did entitle someone to property on the moon, you?d have to have a spaceship with better technology that NASA to ever do anything with it. Michael Jackson and Ronald Reagan are notoriously delusional creatures.

Actualy the loophole has more to do with claiming property in space. Turns out that an oversite made it possible for a single person to claim the rights to property on the moon because he didnt fall into the category of a country or government.
I first heard about it on Tech TV and the guy has done his homework thuroughly and has a team of high powered lawyers on his side.
If we ever colonize the moon theirs going to have to be big payouts to some verry influential people for their investment...

Ultimately everybody knows that the government will win in the end however it wont be without a fight and they will have to pay out to the land owners.

I remain unconvinced. As I understand it, people think they can claim land on a foreign body in space simply because a bill to prevent peple from doing that was not ratified in 1967. So I guess I own Pluto then. Cause I say so. Unless there is something significant I'm missing, no judge will ever rule in favour of this free-for-all outer space land grab crap. If there is any legitimacy to it, laws will be changed FAST; kind of like the domain-name cybersquatting thing a few years back. Do you have a link for this guy's case?

I doubt we will ever colonize the moon anyway. Why would we? What good is a giant ball of rock and dust that costs billions of dollars to visit? There are no natural resources, no atmosphere, brutal temperatures, no water, little gravity... It's much more practical to build space stations to live in.
