Elysium Sword
Transcending a subtle inward salvation
to the heights of sense and self,
a sword protrudes from my center.
From tip to hilt, this sword of waves
weaves colors around the Mother’s temple.
Steel of me,
a living protuberance pulsing
from Her to me and back again.
Silver blood spills
and collects in pools upon her skin,
a splash upon the dead and dying leaves.
My eyes are glazed
and see again the sights unseen
swimming behind my mind
long before the womb.
I lay my head upon Her heart
and glimpse the shadows
pounding in the colors of Elysium.
