Canadian "Wild Rice" for BRF tek

Hi I have used Canadian "Wild Rice" for my second grow of Puerto Rican's using the BRF tec. I have had an unusual mycelium fiberous growth this particular time, unlike my first grow of Psilocybe Cubensis Australian, where the mycelium growth seem to fall between the regular parameters of typical mycelium growth also using the BRF tec, although based on using regular brown rice.
I have heard the Puerto Rican cubensis strain can be difficult to fruit, so I am hoping using a more sustaining substrate, like Canadian Wild Rice will address this issue of the fruits aborting early during the fruiting stage of development.
Has anyone grown the Puerto Rican strain successfully? as I have heard the strain is the most potent of the cubensis strain.

PR is one of my favorites, but it's really just another cube. The mycelium doesn't look any different.
Some 'wild rice' isn't rice at all, but grains. If so, you'll need to sterilize them, rather than steaming, as per the pf tek. If you're boiling the jars to sterilize, be sure to use brown rice, or you may be looking at contaminants. RR

Wild rice isn't really a rice.

I did PC the jars, I always sterilize this way, but can you tell what type of grains the Canadian "Wild Rice" is, if it is not rice? I brought the packets from the rice section of our Supermarket.
Incidentally, my 10 BRF jars are almost colonized, and I have found where I initially inoculated the substrate, and fluffy mycelium growth had formed, that the area had shrunk substantially, before the fibrous growth of the mycelium started to colonize the jars.Is this unusual? could the unusual development have something to do with the substrate I prepared?

The box claims that the "Wild Rice" has been grown from the Wild Rice lakes of Canada, so I assumed that it would be more beneficial for my substrate ,as I believe the Wild Rice to be organically grown, as opposed to commercially grown
