It's really your call. The pod is a great device to have and you probably would get more from a casing. Anyway, have fun!

If you use them to spawn bilk your yeilds would be far more impressive. As far as keeping them as cakes, I think the whole deal with the pod is not having to case with the same yeilds. I have not seen the pod in action though so I can't say one way or another
