Pic? Color? What happens when you swirl it? I've encountered LC that at first was kind of weird sort of fluffy, unshaped things floating but mostly on the bottom but after about a week it kinda just got "normal"...

i reckon i pic would be very hard to get. atm it's pretty small and very 2D so you can only really see it on certain angles (when swirling) in the light. the rest of the growth is normal...

Is it sand like? it's been that way here but upgraded itself to nice myc over time
I guess the rule "Patience IS Golden" applies here too, since no pictures can be shown.

well for future reference of those who care...
the other day i decided i couldn't wait any longer and specifically syringed out both wierd little hemi-disk growths. turns out they were just particularly rizomorphic substrains.

I just thought about this thread yesterday and what's going on with it(: What did you do with those rizo-lc-stuff you dug out?

injected it into a jar, waited a day and hey! there were my results, lovely rizomorphic growths. pity i only sucked up those two growths and a few other little ones. it'll take forever to colonise now. not that i really care, it was more out of interest than anything

yeah true, i'm not really concerned, it was more an experiment than anything. anyway there's probably already more than enough water in there, anymore would destroy it.

hey i got a Q about LC growth as well, might as well not post another thread..
i made my LC almost 5 days ago @ 2pm today..
when its sitting its kinda hard to see, when i swirl it real quick, its like strands of kinda white, but i still see some of the honey color in there.
is that how it should be? ill post a pic of mine later, i managed to get some OK pics a few days ago, but since then it seems alittle more has grown on it, but then again im not completly sure because it is my first LC

sounds like it's exactly how it should be. what sugar did you use? the honey colour is from that. eventually it'll become a cloud of opaque white.

i used the clearest honey i could fine, which was actually a well known local brand.
and yea, when it is sitting, it looks like a real light honey, getting a pic of all of what is inside is difficult, u gotta get it perfect time, and in perfect light.. ill take some pics now and post the best one.. brb

yeah it'll become that "big clump of white crap" after a few weeks. it takes time. right now, from what i can tell, it looks fine. if you're concerned about it being contaminated though, just knock up one jar, wait for a few days to see how that goes, and if it's all good knock yourself out!

sweet thanks for giving me an opinion on it, that makes me pretty happy!
& im not to worried about contams, i did it very sterile, and inoc the jar in my glove box. i know there a possibility of contam still though.
but cool, thanks that kinda just made my day knowing it was doing ok hah! and yea i will wait a few more days anyhow, just to get myc's full potential.

i just want to make sure i dont ruin it by now putting it in the fridge @ a certain time.
srry, im a newb, and couldnt find an answer in search, all i read is: put in the fridge to sustain its lifetime alittle longer.
