I thought everyone cut a hole in the top and siliconed some plexi glass over it. light on the outside set on timer. A 12x12 piece is cheap.

But she doesn't care that you grow cubies in them? Seems to me if she found it the tupperware would be the least of her worries.

Then she will never see the hole. Any light you attach to the inside would probably be adversly affected by the humidity and might require holes in tub anyway for a cord. You could use a moonlight (battery powwered) attached to the underside of the lid but I think it wouldn't stay stuck. Save your allowance and go get your own tub.

My cat uses a 10 watt flourescent bulb that is about six inches from her terrariums. It's on for 8 hours a day. She told me anywhere from 2 to 12 hours of light a day is fine though. She put all of this in a box. The temperature goes up a few degrees when the light is on, to around 85 F, but it hasn't hurt the cakes yet. The temperature then drops to around 75 F at "night." She used small plastic containers (can fit 6 cakes or one casing) from the 'mart that are blue but still let light through. The lids are opague so she flipped the containers over so the clear bottoms are now the tops. The cakes sit on racks on the lids. She was very happy with her first flush.

Yeah you should fine a way to get some money and by a tub. Cut a hole in the top and don't waste money on plexiglass if you have saran wrap. If you don't then you could buy the glass but saran is cheaper to tape on 50 bins than to buy that much plexi glass. Not that you would, but if you ever decide to have a few bins. It also important you don't talk to people about your hobbie, cause if you get busted so do your parents, and their punishment will be more severe than yours.
