Humidity exchange with filter disks

Just curious if the filter disks (MicronMagick) allow for humidity exchange if they are kept in a rubbermaid container with perilite\water. The reason I ask is because I did a few rye berrie jars, and used the filter disk with a metal band. Though they are in a humidity controlled incubator, they seem to have lost some of their moisture. Perhaps I am on crack, so I dont know.

Some humidity will leave. Just leave the foil on your jars
