am i missing out

ive been trying to grow shrooms for a while, no success, should i even bother trying to cultivate or even trying them or should i just give up and move on, what i am asking is are they really worth trying?

they are worth it......... go to www.fanaticus.com and print out his how to guide follow it to the teeth man and you should have awesome shrooms...... like what problems are you having ????

well i have good growth(mycel) then the cakes become really warm and it all turns into a sticky goo

keep your cakes in a cooler environment... and double check your proportions on the ingredients - you may have too much water in your cakes. and if your mycelium is slow to grow and it's been forever, just birth your cakes and cutoff the uncolonized portion so it doesn't start to contam the entire thing.

use the really simpe FAQ from the shroomery FAQ (it's froma site called fungifun.org or somethin)

i followed that pretty closely (untill incubation) and then did a pretty half assed job and got 4 insane flushes, it coulda prolly kept going but i went on vacation and couldnt mist/fan so they got cobwebs on them and thus had to be terminated

Sounds like it may be too wet and then is contaminated ??? Maybe......

I don't know about it being too hot unless you live where its a 100 degrees.....

You can't possibly understand until you try them. They are the easiest drug (forgive the term drug) to grow/make and there is tons of info out there on how to grow. Do more research and keep trying. Trust everyone else on here. They'll tell you. Nothing comes close except LSD. Which TRUE LSD is awful rare.
