Thought Loops

Read yet another report discussing this condition. Considering this side-affect of tripping ONLY, it stands to REASON that: (choose one)

1. The tripper has traversed to another dimension.

2. The tripper has raised his chakric vibrations or awoken his kundalini.

3. The tripper has 'short circuited' normal brain function with unpredictable results.

Pardon, thought this was familiar territory. Thought loops (never experienced them personally) are when someone gets stuck on one thought and cannot seem to break out of the repetitious pattern for quite some time; kind of like infinite reflections in a house of mirrors. They are reported to be quite scary. The tripper frequently thinks that he has gone insane and cannot escape.

Ah yes, I'm going to go with

4. The tripper has a subconscious issue that needs to be resolved and is trying to avoid it.

Talk to people, go for a walk, or have someone throw you in the back of a van and drive you around... depending on time of day and how far gone you are . I would say it could be either answer 3 or Shroomism's 4. I think lack of preperation and direction for an intense session can sometimes make it easier to happen...

Thought loops, fruit loops.

I have experienced this, every time you think you have broken out of it you then realize you are still stuck.

One time I did manage to escape the loop - I had several different thought loops going on at the same time, I then somehow managed to cancel them all out against one another!

That was quick thinking to use a phase inversion to nullify the amplitude. (In his best James Earl Jones / Darth Vader impression) M-o-s-t impressive!

I have had many thought loops... I find them to be one of the best tools available for what I suspect is egoloss. I have only had one thought loop out of meditation and it was an unpleasant experience... wave upon wave of paranoia crashing down upon me... parasitic osillation of paranoia . A quick change in setting ended the loop, thankfully. All of the other loops that I have gotten into have happened while meditating after consumption... all of them have been very extreme, but not unpleasant. Fear is a tool of the ego... don't fight the loop, but rather go with it and see where it takes you. When your "self" is locked in a loop, the rest of "you" can awaken.

The tripper has 'short circuited' normal brain function with unpredictable results.

probaby option no. 3

It's hard to know if these thought loops involve you getting stuck in an incredibly deep paradox which you could normally never fathom, or...

Your mind goes round in circles over something completely stupid (which you believe while tripping to be an incredibly deep paradox which you could normally never fathom)

Another side effect of tripping can be deja vu, anyone experienced this?

deja vu... several times

Your mind goes round in circles over something completely stupid (which you believe while tripping to be an incredibly deep paradox which you could normally never fathom)
No longer is this a common occurance for me... but it used to happen alot.

man..
i remember the awful feeling very well..

the thought was very simple:
there is no meaning to anything in existence. there is nothing. this is hell where your energy lies and your energy will never die. you are in hell forever.

needless to say i was on the floor crying for a long time until my friend practically dragged me into his car and we drove way out into the night country smoking many bowls.. i somewhat got myself together but was badly shaken up for the next week or so..

Once you learn to fathom those deep paradoxi, everythang be kool.

Seriously, apart from most responder's emotional response to them, I want to know how they can be considered "spiritual" instead of a Windows 98-like brain crash?

oh yea

my friend told me like every 10 minutes or so I'd stop crying, stand up and look totally normal and just be like "jeesh... okay im fine now." like nothing had happened.
then i'd start pacing around faster and faster and in a few moments id be freaking out again
