Cake substraits

Ok so I hear that what you grow a mushroom on makes a diffrence in potency. Now what if you are in a situation where you can only grow a couple of pf cakes. Is there a bulk substrait that can be used to make a pf cake with. In otherwords can you make a pf cake out of something other than BRF? This is not in the FAQ.

A bulk substrate would usually indicate a casing, which would have been spawned with a jar of substrate (like BRF).

You can also use whole brown rice, rye, or millet/birdseed in your jars. Read the FAQ for recipes and references.
