My jars, are like, stalled?
    #833892 - 08/21/02 06:01 PM (18 years, 6 months ago)

Its been one month with a verm. whole brown rice mix. For about a week, and two weeks for some, theyve been kinda stalled at the same level. They never grew like I see in most teks. Instead of having kinda chunky mycelium, it was more like a thin web. At this pouint its covering all the substrate, but you can stiull see through it you know!?

Any ideas as to why they have been stuck like this for a while?

Thats what I figured, but I can still see suibstrate through the mycelium. Its like a spiders web stretched out over. it. In some spots its all thick and no substrate can be seen, but in otehrs its thin and all.

Ide birth but I dont wanna case them and get a big batch of mold.

I feel you! My jars stopped for about 2 weeks after they were about 50 to 70 percent complete. Keep the faith. I had questions about the spiderweb looking stuff too cause of things i had read and mold. But after that 2 weeks was up they took off again and finished up....Dont worry i think youll be ok.
