sterilizing with gas stove

Hey,
Lost my lighter, and dont feel like relighting a match every 2 seconds, dont have alcohol based lighter thing. so uhm, i know sterilizing with candles is like bad air or something, but would it be okay with a gas stove/grill thing.

You can always fill a shot glass with some rubbing alcohol and light it. Works pretty good.
