Thats what I said. Fuck the chemicals. You've yet to give an argument against GENETIC manipulation. And I think you'd be surprised at what they can call 'organic' and get away with.
Not surprised in the slightest. I've done a lot of research on this because my health is all I have that's truly in my control. Trust me, I didn't eat for awhile because I do not trust the food in supermarkets. I still have a hard time eating even organic produce because of that trust-factor.
I'm not arguing, maybe that's why you don't sense an arguement. I don't argue about this. Even the UN has said that the use of biotechnology in food is contentious. The accessment of the technology lags behind it's development.

As I said, there is nothing to argue about for me. I make my own choices. People eat loads of shitty food everyday, without care of what it will do to their health long term. Yes, lots of people are starving. Yes, GM food could feed them, but at what cost in the long run to the human body? I believe some caution is warrented.
I don't really care what other people put into their body. I'm just spreading the word to be wary. If you feel like eating GM food, then so be it. I don't have a problem not doing so.

By the way, that article I posted is in direct response to this:

That article addresses the issue directly.

Awww MOTH you never argue. No fun
Fair points. Caution is definately warranted, and due to $$$, there probably isn't enough caution being exercised. But I get really annoyed when people bash GM crops because they have preconceived notions about evil scientists making frankenstein creations (not that I'm saying you do, you're obviously more educated than me on the subject), when there are hungry mouths to feed. It would be nice if we all lived in a magical world where we bought our fresh produce from good ol' farmer Tom down the road, but unfortunately we live in a world of 6.6 billion human souls and counting.
EDIT: meh never mind I just read the article.

Yeah, it's definitely a tricky issue. I don't know what to think about it myself, being as there are food riots in many countries right now. What's worse: feeding questionable food, or letting people starve? Very tough.
I argue sometimes. I just don't see much to argue about in this case...all I can do within my power is to feed myself right now, and even then, sometimes that's a struggle.
Enjoyed the discourse though.
