ISO Alcohol

Would using a diluted amount of ISO alcohol and water in a fruiting chamber be harmfully to the fruit bodies or mycelium?
Since it evaporates faster than water i figure it would raise the humidity relatively easily, that is if it wouldnt kill the fungi, or slow growth.
If yes, what kind of proportion ISO/water mixture would be non-harmful?
After the mycelium has broken the surface, but not colonized the casing and you have been exchanging the air, exposing it to indirect sunlight (and compact fluorescent light), and keeping the temp at an average of 75 Is it the humidity that is keeping it from pinning after almost a week?
should a fluorescent tube with a more blue spectrum be purchased? Or could they be getting too much light and retarding the pin formation?
Or lastly If the ISO alcohol isnt safe to use to raise the humidity should a humidifier just be purchased? The reason the humidifier isnt already purchased is because of moving and disassembling and assembling would be preferable in the next two or three weeks after move.

The humidity is about water, not any other substance.

remember alcohol kills! i dont think your evaporative method will work..
i usually see pins after 10 days, sometimes more, so be patient. i use 2 compact flourescents to light my grow room and its all i need so your light should be fine.
what kind of fruiting chamber do you use?

currently its 2 until the move, a Plexiglas type cylindrical chamber with a bag over it and a smaller rubber maid type chamber with a seal where it closes.
I have a bag over the cylinder because it has no lid. I think my mistake was using too little perlite. I added more and more water and am heating it from the bottom of the chamber with a regular bulb.
Hopefully there will be better results.
This is my first time, Thai Mystery. I have the inoculation and casing down, no contamination, everything white as a pearl.
Started with cakes, didn't hydrate them enough in the beginning so i cut the colonized portions off and crumbled in between casing layers.
I Put a bout 3 times as much perlite as was in there (why my humidity was so low) and its already looking better, think i might need a bit more water in the one though, but tomorrow is another day.

do you have a spray bottle?
i always spray the shit out of my fruiting chamber, and my casing once a day sometimes more. as long as standing water is never an issue you should be fine.
also perlite (i hate the shit so much but ill give you advice anyway) needs air circulation to 'wick' water molecules into the air. perlite that is trapped will trap the humidity. do you have holes in your setup or how do you go about fresh air?

Thank you, i Just thought it went on heat and evaporation, ill put an air pump in them today, i did spray them real well though and they have climbed to about 50+% from "LOW"
