anyone have any ideas?

I was wondering if anyone has any cheap solutions for heating up incubation chambers. My friends grandmother doesn't have much money right know and can't afford a fish tank heater
She has a dung/straw casing in it's spawn run (halfway). My friend put the casing outside in his storage closet and the temp soared to 93 degrees, but when it was brought inside (A/C) the temp went down to 80. my friends grandmother doesn't like to put the casing through that much stress. Then my friends step-aunt suggested puting a pitcher of boiling water W/perlite in the incubation chamber. But I don't know, this all sounds like crazy to me.
Ideas would be apppreciated, If it's good she might give you a cookie.

I'd tell your friends grandma to screw herself. Or you could tell her to but her incubator on top of her refrigerator (cheap way to keep your temps in the mid-upper 80's). Tell the bastards grandma to leave her AC off some. The thing with the boiling water will be a pain in the ass, water cools very fast and u will find yourself constantly reboiling shit. Set her wheat straw on fire, no that won't work. IMHO, I think the 80 degree weather will be fine for the casing, don't sweat it

war=no good!

thanks. I used to use the top of my fridge, but then I ran out off room. I guess I'll have to find another place for grandmas casings. On a good note though, the spawn run looks at least halfway done. The only thing is is that the mycelium is not very rizmorphic, it's all cottony and shit. I read cottony mycelium forms less primordia, hence less pins. I'm probally just being paranoid again.
