drying problems

I've got about 40 mushrooms of various sizes under a black shirt with 3 small lamps pointed at it -- the mushrooms are a lot more dry than they used to be, but still some are quite wet...also, some are almost cracker dry, but they have turned completely black...are these black ones still okay to eat?

Also, the smell of these mushrooms has become considerably worse. I know dried mushrooms stink, but is it possible there's something wrong with these mushrooms? I fanned them for about three hours, then i let them sit overnight, then i started drying them with the shirt and light..

any assistance would be appreciated

Stink is bad! Are you sure they're not black but dark blue? Dark blue will happen (so I'm told) when they're bruised.
