Like notorious said 10g wet = 1g dry.
I would suggest eating a healthy ammount of fresh shrooms before theyre dried out. Much better trippin.
Though dried is frickin awesome too dont get me wrong
Body mass also holds a key factor to howmuch you should ingest. More mass = more consumption.

Is it just me or am i seeing an influx of new hunters finding what they believe are active psilocybes and munching them down like there's a food shortage?

It makes me very nervous. Please, for sanity's sake, and if you're not 100%, post your pics on here with characteristics of the fruiting bodies esp. a spore print. Chances are shroomery members will be more than happy to tell you whether you've got the goods or not. The last thing we need are some nasty galerina episodes.
