Yeah, I'm very comfortable with that line of reasoning in those quotes. That's most likely what's going on here.

I wasn't trying to say that I think it's likely that psiloc(yb)in has a direct metabolic function, I was just trying to point out that no studies have shown that it isn't. So we can't 100% rule out the possibility of it having a metabolic role. I'm a bit drunk and high, so I don't think I conveyed that very well above.

No, I think you did. Probably in the same words.

For real, thanks for keeping me on the ball though.

My advice is to find those things that give pleasure and do them often without too much attachment and relax and wait for the show to end.

I like free markets and all. Truly I do, at least in general, but there needs to be some kind of oversight in recognition of sustainability. Life works the same way, on a bunch of sustainable systems. Why not honor what made us what we are and take some lessons? Nature FTW!

I would definitely say they evolved it as a defense mechanism. Even though it's not toxic to humans and I am sure most animals can probably tolerate it as well, it is most likely toxic to the primary threats they face in nature. Even if it isn't out right toxic to them, I don't imagine an animal would be in any condition to protect itself from predators and other dangers while it's watching trees dance and shrubs scream.

i read somewhere that bear eat mushroom because the really enjoy it. They do it again and learn to find the mushroom because they like it. Can't prove it.
