Jar temperature
    #8264341 - 04/10/08 01:18 PM (15 years, 10 months ago)

Is it all right if the temperature's of my injected jars fluctuate between 70 - 80 degrees. Also after I moved my jars to a warmer spot some of the rye berries got a little shaken -- is that all right?

Stop experimenting half way through your first grow. Grow it to maturity, watch it, learn from it. Do this a few times then experiment with different ideas and figure out what works best for you.

You will not want to fluctuate the temperatures much

Pshaw...

Fluxuations in temp are natural. Shrooms have been grown outdoors, with its variations, for much longer than they've been cultivated indoors.

Between 70 and 80 is a perfectly sub-tropical climate.

Don't worry about moving jars... just don't shake 'em too much until you see myc.

I've gone from 70-120F (relative temperature in my incubating tub) in about an hour before.... I don't suggest it but my cakes are doing amazing even after that .
