the first one that caught my eye was a W sticker. "oh god," i thought, "how fitting." who'd have guessed that the driver of this fucking 8mpg road tank would support bush!? certainly not i! /sarcasm
so this piqued my interest and caused me to take a closer look at the other stickers. on the right, there was a bumper sticker proclaiming "support our troops!". a noble enough cause. while i might not support the hostile occupation, i do support the individuals willing to lay their lives on the line in the name of our country. however, given the first sticker, i'm fairly certain that this particular driver DOES support said occupation.
on the left was an angry bumper sticker complaining about unfair taxes. now is it just me, or is this entirely contradictory to the first two? how the hell can anyone have the gall to both complain about taxes AND support the administration and occupation that has sucked our tax dollars dry, to the extent of a multi-TRILLION dollar debt? just doesn't make any fucking sense. no doubt the driver had funding for social programs in mind, which completely baffles me. unwillingness to help take care of his own countrymen in need with support from social benefit programs, yet enthusiasm for a deadly occupation proving to be the biggest monetary drain in national history.
i just don't understand.
but then again, i'm a biased liberal.

it's a venn diagram i got from a humorous web-blog.
do you understand the mechanics of the venn diagram? each circle represents one thing. things which lie in the area wherein the circles overlap possess both the qualities. a rotisserie chicken is dead and rolling, as per the cooking method. and the founding fathers are dead and rolling (aka rolling in their graves) because of the mockery that is the current administration.

i have always said that the solution to our nations energy problems can be easily solved by hooking up generators to our founding fathers who are rolling in their graves faster and faster every day

In such times as ours however, when there is too much order, too much m management, too much programming and control, it becomes the duty of superior men and women and women to fling their favorite monkey wrenches into the machinery. To relieve the repression of the human spirit, they must sow doubt and disruption" "People do it every day, they talk to themselves ... they see themselves as they'd like to be, they don't have the courage you have, to just run with it."

I was telling somebody at work about your signature a while ago who got a pretty good laugh out of the concept (I was working at a deli with rotisserie chickens at the time).
The link to the web-blog doesn't work, can you try again?

WTF? They're fighting for your country's greedy wants. Not "the name of your country".

no no no... the individuals themselves, not the ruling administration. i know a couple of military men, and they are all completely convinced that they are fighting for america, for the american people, etc - which is noble enough, if terribly misguided. i don't blame the individual who wants to support his homeland through service, i blame the military leaders who send them.
